With the default Breeze theme, the icons are very visible and work great: These are the default icons in LibreOffice 6.4.4.2 in Kubuntu 20. Step 1: Open the LibreOffice application in which you want to apply the theme. The problem is with the icon set in LibreOffice. More importantly I would like the exported PDF to look the same regardless of the theme I am using. This is the Breeze theme that is the default in Kubuntu 20.04 This is the Breeze Dark theme that I typically use in Kubuntu. Is there a way to have LibreOffice document display ignoring the KDE theme I use? I would like the page to be rendered on my screen the same no matter which theme I am using. For example, a heading with font color set as 'Dark 2' changes to the new theme 'Dark 2' color. All document elements with the hardcoded theme attribute name set will change to the new theme attribute. If I open the ODT in Windows and export the file it also look normal in the resulting PDF. In any case, you need to enable the theme: open the options Tools Options (or Alt + F12) then go to LibreOffice View Icon style and select Colibre, Colibre (dark), Colibre (SVG) or Colibre (SVG + dark). Double-click on the theme desired or select the theme and click OK. If I switch my theme to a light theme before exporting the file as PDF then the resulting PDF looks like it does in Windows. If I change to a lighter LO theme (Tools>Options>Personalization) when using Gnome’s dark mode LO’s menu buttons become unreadable (white letters over a light background). The PDF that was exported however has the text box black with white text. Step 2: Click Tools > Options from the top menu-bar, or press Alt + F12 on the keyboard. Hi all, In ubuntu 22.04.1 (vanilla/gnome) Libreoffice’s top menus are very difficult to read when using dark mode because they also become dark. ODT and open it in Windows 10 the form is a normal black border with white background and black text. By adjusting the application settings, you can make your own, more complete Dark Mode. Almost as if it did a screen cap for the PDF. LibreOffices included dark theme only covers the menu bar. The exported PDF seems to adopt the theme colors. This is not an issue until you export as PDF. odt with a text box in it LibreOffice seems to use the theme colors for the text box. Unfortunately there seems to be a small problem with doing it using a dark theme. Dark themes have slowly started to dominate our desktops, giving a modern taste and reducing the eye strain, especially in low light conditions. LibreOffice has been great for creating PDF forms.
